Jay's party is only about a month away which means I have gone into crazy party planning overdrive. I have made list after list and made a new list of the old list that I had. In the part 1 post I showed you how I made movie reels and a Now Showing sign. This post I am going to show off a few other things I have put together. Here are the invitations I put together. Jay loves wearing lanyards and what better way to invite her friends to a VIP style party. What you need: Lanyards with plastic holders at the end- I got these from the party store I printed the invite from the computer the same size as the plastic holder I also made a giant size popcorn box as decoration. Although, Jaylah and her cousins seem to think I should fill it up with actual popcorn I am going to fill it up with yellow and white balloons. What you need: A large cardboard box Red and white duct tape Printed popcorn sign balloons-yellow and white The stanchions were way more complicated than the other decorations. What you need: Wood dowels-got these from Home Depot Round wooden bases-got these from the woodworking isle at Hobby Lobby Gorilla Glue Foam Balls Gold spray paint My husband was generous enough to help me with these. I first glued the wooden bases together then he drilled a hole into each set of bases. He also cut down the dowels so that they were about 38 inches tall from ground top. After the drilling I glued the dowel into the base and let it set overnight. The next day I pray painted the stand and foam ball a metallic gold. I made a hole and pressed down then glued the foam ball to the top of the dowel. The last step is the red rope. I decided to do something a little different and make a ticket chain that I taped to each dowel. Check back to the Food and Drink section to see the cupcakes I am making for Jay's movie themed birthday party!!

I have a question. Did the spray paint disintegrate your foam ball a little ? Thanks
