You can't have an 80's themed party without a rubix cube. My daughter started working on a rubix cube around the same time I was planning decorations for the party. I thought about making large rubix cubes for decorations. Guests could use them as tables to set drink and plates on if they wanted. Materials: Tape Medium size boxes from Lowes or Home Depot Colorful paper from Michaels One is made with black duct tape and one is covered with black paper and the colorful rectangles are taped on top. DIY Record Bowls These will be great for popcorn, pretzels or another fun party snack. They were easy to make. Materials: records from local antique store or thrift store Instructions: http://offbeatbride.com/diy-record-bowl/ In the décor section you will find other wreaths I have made. I made this wreath to hang on the outside of the door for my party! Other fun additions to the night will be this Mtv sign and this I love 80’s photo prop. With this funky 80’s graffiti backdrop and some dope shades your party pictures will be totally awesome! Instructions: http://lyndiprojects.blogspot.com/2013/07/diy-giant-polaroid.html#.V6_zRPkrLIU
Instead of cake or cupcakes I am going to have donuts of all flavors and fillings for the birthday dessert. I saw these DIY cake stands and knew that I had to try them. I hot glued cassette tapes and a painted 35 on top of one of the cake stands as a cake topper.
