As party time approaches I realized that since my party is an 80's themed murder mystery party guests will need time to put together outfits fitting their characters. With Halloween costumes in every superstore and Halloween shops on every corner I thought October was the perfect time to pass out invitations. Things that are needed in this invite are character details, newsletter about the party and the actual invitation.
When guest enter the party they will be greeted by their characters name. Name badges will make playing the role much easier. After printing the characters names from the Murder Mystery kit, it was just about cutting them out and placing them in badges that guest can wear.
One of the last things I did for the night was put together guest envelopes for the party. Each envelope had a notebook (for keeping track of clues), money (for bribes and blackmailing), name badge, a pen and their directions for the start of the party. There is an "A" on this envelope because there is an "A-before the murder and "B" after the murder directions for guest to follow.
