Here are some great easy recipes that would be a great addition to a camping theme or any fall party. As you know I love sweet treats! My problem is that I can't ever stop at one treat. These mini cheesecakes are the perfect tiny sweet treat to satisfy the craving without the guilt. Ingredients For the crust:
Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
3. In a large bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Pour mixture evenly over crusts. 4. Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the cheesecakes are set. They will still jiggle a bit. Do not over cook them. If they start to crack they are getting over cooked. 5. Allow them to cool in the muffin tin completely. Place in the refrigerator to chill and serve cold with your favorite toppings. 6. Enjoy! These adorable cupcakes made to look like popcorn are the perfect dessert for a movie themed birthday party. To get this look is very simple. What you will need: Cake mix and ingredients Frosting- vanilla Red and white striped cupcake liners- I got these from Hobby Lobby's party isle Mini Marshmallows (about 20-per cupcake) Kitchen Scissors Directions: 1. Preheat the oven and make cake batter according to the cake mix directions. Fill the cupcake liners about 3/4 of the way full. 2. While the cupcakes are baking you should make your marshmallow popcorn. Take your kitchen scissors and simply cut a "X" or "T"shape into the top of the marshmallow. 3. Once the cupcakes are done-let them cool, then frost each one. Next, place the "popcorn" onto the frosting starting from the outer edge and working your way to the center. Make sure the outer ones are facing/tilted out so it looks like the popcorn is overflowing. Don't you think that these cupcakes are perfect for a movie themed party or even movie night with friends or family!! Hope you enjoy!
I am wanting a sweet treat for Jay's Movie Party. We know that popcorn goes hand in hand with movies, but I want to do something different. As a kid I used to love the fruity flavored popcorn. I have used jello to make it before, but recently came across a recipe for Kool-Aid flavored popcorn. I think this will be the perfect snack for the kiddos. In a large pot, add the butter, brown sugar and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat until the butter is completely melted. Add Kool Aid packet. Cook for 1 more minute. Then add baking soda and mix well. The mixture will foam once you add the baking soda Pour the mixture over the popcorn stirring well to coat all of the popcorn. Spread popcorn out over wax paper to cool. Break into pieces and ENJOY!!! |
