My daughter's best friend loves Jolly Ranchers. When I asked Jaylah what her bestie wanted for her birthday on the list were Jolly Ranchers. While pinning fun treats on Pinterest I saw a tutorial for Jolly Rancher suckers and I thought his would be the amazing idea! Materials: Parchment Paper-I used waxed paper and the suckers tended to stick to the paper. DO NOT USE WAX PAPER Foil Bag of Jolly Ranchers Lollipop sticks Clear treat bags with twist ties Cookie sheet Preheat the oven 250 degrees. Cover a cookie sheet with foil first then cover the foil with parchment paper. Line up the jolly ranchers 2 or 3 to a sucker. I didn't have any reason for the pairing, but you could put your favorites together to create something epic! Put the candy in the over for about 5-6 minutes. Be sure to WATCH them. They really start to melt about the 6th minute. When they come out of the oven you have to be quick in getting the sticks in the candy. They harden fast. Press the sticks into the candy and turn the stick to get it covered in the candy. Some directions will tell you to put them in the fridge for 10-15 minutes to really get them hard. Others will tell you to leave them out on the counter to do the same thing. I put them in the fridge and it made taking them off the paper easier. Here are some of the finished products all packed and ready to go to the birthday party.

My sister called me the other day and said she had an idea for me! I'm always down so she went on about little donut hole snowmen. After my intial confusion she described her vision and I set off to see if we could make it happen. Materials: Powdered Sugar Donut Holes: for the body-I sued cake donut holes and rolled them in powdered (confectioners) sugar Orange Skittle:or any small orange candy: for the nose (my daughter insisted I use Skittles-I think she just wanted to eat the rest of them) Twizzler: the pull and peel kind: for the scarf Black decorating gel: for eyes and buttons Toothpicks:to hold it all together Mini thin mints: part of the top hat Recess Peanut Butter Cup:finish top of top hat With all of the materials ready the kiddos and I set out to tackle this project. We decided the snowmen could hangout next to the gingerbread house we built on Christmas Eve when we were finished. Needless to say these didn't quite come out the way we expected, however, in this case the process was way more important than the product. We had a ball!!! What holiday edible crafts do you and your family try? Leave me a note and let me know. I'd love to try some more this year or next! I have read posts and pins about this dip and had to try it for myself. The kicker is that there are only 5 ingredients. The recipe I used was from http://therecipecritic.com/2016/09/5-minute-million-dollar-dip/ Ingredients

My family loves Christmas Eve about as much as we enjoy Christmas Day and the whole Christmas season. This year Christmas Eve dinner consists of spaghetti, garlic bread and for dessert lemon brownies. I am not a huge spaghetti fan but my family is. My husband loves pasta so I searched for an easy spaghetti recipe and found a One Pot Spaghetti recipe. One Pot Spaghetti INGREDIENTS

As my mother-in-law was thinking about the ChristmasDay menu the idea came that the adults should bring something they like or are really good at cooking. I am no chef and up until last year I didn't even really enjoy cooking. I searched for easy side dishes, but thought that an appetizer would be fun to bring. I don't often share my cooking with others so IF I do this will be one of the first times. I searched online and then found a recipe while watching the food network. I love watching Pioneer Woman on the Food Network. Iguess I love the way she is not afraid to use butters and cheeses and food normal families would have available. On this episode she was using puff pastry to make a variety of foods. One of the foods was Cheese Straws. They couldn't have looked better-flaky yummy puff pastry, cheddar cheese and parmasean cheese. Ingredients 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (from a 17.3-ounce package, such as Pepperidge Farm), thawed 1 tablespoon butter, melted 1 cup grated Cheddar 1 teaspoon cayenne 3/4 cup grated Parmesan 1 large egg Directions Line a baking sheet with parchment. Lightly roll out the sheet of pastry into a 10-by-12-inch rectangle, then brush with the melted butter. Sprinkle over the Cheddar, cayenne and 1/2 cup of the Parmesan. Using the rolling pin, press the cheese into the pastry. Cut the pastry into 12 strips. Twist each strip about 5 times and transfer to the prepared baking sheet. Place in the freezer for 20 minutes. Mix together the egg and 1 teaspoon water in a small bowl, brush the strips with the mixture and sprinkle over the remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan. Bake until golden brown and puffed, 10 to 12 minutes.
