After our last sleepover my nieces were all ready to plan the next one. I have always wanted to do a camping themed party with them. I am NOT a camper but I thought... indoors...I can handle that. Here are some ideas I came across. FoodWhen the girls spend the night I always have them come hungry for dinner. A great camping themed sleepover dinner could consists of "Walking Tacos" (Frito chips in a bag and taco meat and toppings to put inside), hot dogs, chips, popcorn, trail-mix and of course Smores!!!! Let's talk more about Smores! Breakfast Bar in the morning! Games/ActivityAfter dinner we always do some sort of activity or craft. Here are some ideas I found. My girls LOVE scavenger hunts. We have done Valentine's Day themed and Christmas themed scavenger hunts. Other games that will be fun: Giant Tic-Tac-Toe, Twister, Glow in the dark ring toss and karaoke (the last one is kind of a tradition). DecorationsI don't often go overboard with decorations but with the camping theme I think some camping decorations are in order. Don't you? First up are the tents! There are many DIY tents to make (I'm sure that's the route I'll take.) happy camping!!!Please leave me a comment if there is something I am missing to make this indoor camping sleepover an awesome experience for my girls! Check out my Parties Pinterest Board for more camping party ideas.
If I said that my daughter was the only person excited about the Descendants 2 Movie Premier I'd be lying. I was totally ready to watch and love all the music and dancing. A Descendants themed party would be a great way for a group of friends wanting to watch the movie have a great time watching it together! So I know I'm a day late but here are some great ideas for a fun-filled Descendants 2 Watch Party!!!!
Hope you enjoyed the movie! Head over to Disney Channel for more Descendants 2 fun!
It's that time again...what time you ask?
It's time for me to have my nieces over to the house for a slumber party. I always plan fun activities and some type of craft that will keep them busy and having a great time. So here is my plan! Food
When you have 5 pre-teen girls sometimes finding something everyone likes can be hard. I am going with a taco/nacho bar. It's easy and the girls can make their food however they want.
For dessert we are going to make our own funnel cakes. I have never done it before but I am sure it'll be fun. We LOVE funnel cakes so hopefully they turn out yummy! Activities
When my nieces come over we ALWAYS do some kind of fun cooking recipe, craft or game. We have done scavenger hunts, Nerf wars, pie making and fabric decorating crafts. This time around I asked what they wanted to do. We have ideas from a Nerf war, making slime and karaoke. BUT the biggest hit this time around (I hope) is going to be our version of hide and seek. My daughter said she has played a game called sharks and minnows that we have tweaked and added to our hide and seek game. We don't have name for it but we do have rules for it.
RULES 1. Arm yourself with Nerf gun and darts. 2. When the "seeker" is counting with their eyes closed find somewhere to hide. 3. LIGHTS OUT!!! 4. If you are found and shot with a Nerf dart-you and the seeker are now on the hunt for the other players. 5. Continue searching and shooting until you are only missing one player! That player is the winner and the new seeker!
Once the girls begin to slow down we start to settle in and we always end the night with movie and snacks.
What makes this slumber party a little different is they really want to go swimming so that's the plan for the following day. I love doing these parties for the girls. I hope that these parties keep the girls close. They are all getting to the age where friends are more important than anything and I want them to be each other's best friend.
I have been in a very crafty mood lately. I am always on the look out for a new party to plan or craft to create. This got me to thinking that If I am in a crafty mood, others around me might be as well. Maybe we could get together and have a Crafting Party. I started to research Pinterest Parties and other Craft Party Ideas.
Top Party Tips for Throwing a Fun Craft Party
1. PICK A CRAFT EVERYONE CAN DO When choosing a craft try picking one or two that everyone can do no matter skill level they are. Don't give guests too many decisions. The point is to have fun not be frustrated. Make sure the craft is something fun to take home and use or as a gift. Take time with your planning. Make sure you have more than enough supplies and do any prep that will make crafting easy and fun.
2. BE CREATIVE WITH DRINKS AND SNACKS
There are many ways to go about planning the food and drinks for your party. * Guests can each bring a dish they found on Pinterest or anything they'd like to share. *Simple and clean snacks are the way to go. You don't want your guest sticky or messy and too busy wiping their hands that they can't finish their project. A popcorn bar, Candy Bar or mini finger foods would be best.
3. BE FLEXIBLE
There are many ways that a Craft Party can be planned and organized. *Guests can each bring a craft and all of the supplies that are used to create that craft for everyone to enjoy. * Guests can each bring a food dish to share and money for the host for supplies purchased. * Hire a sitter to come over and stay and play with the kiddos while you craft or set the party as a "girls night out."

My sister's gender reveal party was a huge success. Here are some pictures from the fun event. For a little recap-this is my sister's 4th kiddo. She has 3 boys and wanted to do something fun to see what the gender of the 4th baby would be. I told her that Creative Celebrations could help her throw a fun Gender Reveal Party. Her color scheme was green (for a boy) and purple (for a girl).
We had a great time hanging out with friends and family and finding out what the gender of this precious baby would be!!! Invitation
We decided on a download invite from Etsy. My sister was then able to send out the invitation via text and created a Facebook Event for the party using the invitation.
Food/Snacks
We went with a Popcorn Bar for this events snacks. There were 4 different types of popcorn to choose from and 8 different types of candies to add to the popcorn. We also had tea, lemonade and a cake!
Decorations
The color scheme was purple and green so we went all out with those colors and added a hint of gold for an accent color. Since the invite read: King or Queen Which Will It Be we also incorporated crowns into the decor.
Activities
Since this was not a baby shower we didn't do games, but we did have some activities set up around the room that could keep guests entertained.
Diaper Raffle
Guests brought packs of diapers and for every pack they bought they were entered into a drawing for a prize given at the end of the party!
Jelly Bean Guessing
Guests guessed how many jelly beans were in the jar, BUT there was a twists. The jelly beans were green and purple and there were more of one color than the other depending on whether baby was gonna be a boy or girl. The winners won gift baskets.
Name That Baby
Guests were asked to give name suggestions for the baby. They wrote girl names on purple paper and boy names on green paper. Kids Table
here were so many families with kiddos that were coming we wanted to be sure that the kids had something to do. On their table there were crowns and crayons for them to decorate as well as green and purple beads for them to wear. There were horn blowers and suckers for the kids to enjoy.
Photo Booth
Guests were given a chance to get their picture taken and write their guess of boy or girl on the picture. There were props they could use and a cork board for them to display the pictures and guesses!
The REVEAL
My sis wanted to use silly string to reveal the gender of the baby. If the silly string was purple then it was a girl. If the silly string was green then it was a boy.
I'm so happy for my sis and bro-in law! Another boy to add to the crew!
